The Role
As Operations & Membership Manager, you’ll work remotely and in the field across the Northern Beaches, taking full ownership of operational excellence, member experience, and business growth. You’ll check in on the sites as needed, manage membership communications, build local relationships, and ensure the spaces run like clockwork. The Role
As Operations & Membership Manager, you’ll work remotely and in the field across the Northern Beaches, taking full ownership of operational excellence, member experience, and business growth. You’ll check in on the sites as needed, manage membership communications, build local relationships, and ensure the spaces run like clockwork. You won’t be stuck behind a desk - this is a hands-on, people-focused role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making things happen.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Oversight
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure facilities are clean, prepped, and fully operational
- Coordinate equipment servicing, stock levels, and minor maintenance
- Manage consumables and merchandise orders remotely
- Ensure each studio maintains the brand’s high standards
- Be the main point of contact for member enquiries, feedback, and support
- Manage the full membership lifecycle: onboarding, upgrades, freezes, cancellations
- Deliver a premium customer experience through personalised communication and proactive support
- Respond to inbound calls, emails, and DMs with professionalism and warmth
- Build and manage casual support rosters (as needed) for deep cleans or event activations
- Train any casual staff to uphold brand standards and protocols
- Monitor and optimise bookings through the platform (MindBody, Fresha or similar)
- Maintain accurate membership and usage data
- Track key metrics like attendance, growth, and retention
- Build relationships with local gyms, physios, fitness groups and clubs for partnerships
- Support member events, activations, and local wellness challenges
- Contribute to social content or campaigns promoting client experience
- Ensure WHS protocols are followed and documented
- Maintain logs for cleaning, servicing, and any incidents
