To operate dozer, compactor, excavator, front end loader, articulated dump trucks, hook truck and other plant and equipment as required to undertake efficient and safe landfill and transfer station operations

Carry out allocated tasks to meet agreed productivity targets, council policies and standards
Knowledge of landfill operations, effective waste placement process and EPA compliance 
Knowledge of transfer station and resource recovery operations
High level of competence in selection, operation and maintenance of large earthmoving plant used in a waste management environment including excavators (30-35 tonne), dozers (D6 equivalent and above), compactors, articulated dump trucks (30 tonne and above) and FrontEnd Loaders
Skill in GPS machine operation (Topcon, Carlson), personal computer, mobile or portable radio, phone, and associated software applications
Skills in problem-solving using both practical experience and theoretical knowledge.
Ability to work to and follow landfill cell design plans 
Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Health and Safety standards and risk assessment with the ability to apply these principles in operations activities  Ability and skills to provide on-the-job training in relation to the operation of plant and earth moving works

Requirements;

Considerable experience in a waste or resource recovery environment 
Sound knowledge and understanding of occupational health and safety and personnel practices and systems in the workplace
A current Victorian Driver's licence
A current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence
High level of competence and appropriate licenses and tickets to operate plant and equipment including compactor, dozer, excavator, front end loader, articulated dump truck and hook truck
